Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), and other building systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical circuits, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and other technical systems.
- Conduct welding and residential painting tasks as needed to maintain the property's appearance and structural integrity.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults in electrical systems and components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, parts inventory, and service history.
- Supervise facilities maintenance projects, including supervising contractors or junior team members when necessary.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to facilitate repairs or installations in accordance with safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies while performing all maintenance tasks.
- Assist with manufacturing or custom fabrication projects related to hotel facilities when required.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff, ensuring minimal disruption.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential setting is preferred.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics, PLCs, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, plumbing, welding techniques, and general building repairs.
- Supervising experience leading maintenance teams or managing projects is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and inventory control.
- Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and coordination with team members.
