Best Western Plus Castle Rock is seeking an experienced and motivated hospitality leader to join our team as General Manager. This role is ideal for a results‑driven professional with strong operational expertise, proven leadership experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring the property runs efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with Best Western brand standards. You will lead department teams, drive guest satisfaction, manage financial performance, and maintain a positive, service‑focused culture throughout the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with Best Western brand standards and company policies.
- Train and develop staff to deliver consistent, high‑quality service.
- Prepare Front Desk schedules and review schedules for other departments.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance.
- Partner with the Executive Housekeeper and Maintenance Engineer to maintain documented Deep Cleaning and Preventive Maintenance programs.
- Verify inventory par levels based on forecasted occupancy.
- Maintain and enforce proper key control procedures.
- Oversee daily/weekly payroll and accounts payable with accuracy.
- Work to achieve and exceed guest satisfaction scores (Medallia) across all departments.
- Respond to guest surveys (brand and TripAdvisor) and post weekly guest satisfaction results for staff review.
- Monitor rate accuracy and support effective yield management strategies.
- Manage inventory within the property management system (Autoclerk).
- Meet regularly with the Night Auditor to review work and ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, including breakfast hours, evenings, and weekends, to ensure operational coverage.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for all department teams.
- Support company goals related to productivity, efficiency, and overall hotel performance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with Best Western and Autoclerk strongly preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Strong command of the English language (speaking, reading, writing).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
