What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance Engineer position at Best Western Plus Ambassador Suites Venice Florida?
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including low voltage circuits
- Welding and fabrication using stick welding techniques
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations
- Provide technical support to internal departments and external customers
- Assist with the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair
- Proficiency in stick welding techniques for fabrication and repairs
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for accurate assessments
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements
- Experience working with a CMMS for tracking maintenance activities
- Excellent customer service skills to provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders
- Technical sales experience is a plus
