Position: Housekeeper / Laundry Attendant
Pay: $15.25–$17.00 per hour, depending on experience
We are hiring dependable Housekeepers / Laundry Attendants for our Best Western hotel in Hartland, Michigan.
This is a flexible housekeeping position. Depending on hotel occupancy and daily operational needs, employees may be assigned to clean guestrooms, assist with laundry, maintain housekeeping areas, or perform a combination of these duties during the same shift.
We are looking for reliable, hardworking people who take pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable hotel for our guests.
Previous hotel housekeeping or laundry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train dependable candidates with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Duties may vary from day to day based on hotel needs and may include:
Guestroom Housekeeping
- Clean and prepare guestrooms according to hotel standards
- Make beds and replace bed linens
- Clean bathrooms, showers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors
- Vacuum and clean guestroom floors
- Dust furniture and guestroom surfaces
- Remove trash and used linens
- Replace towels and guest amenities
- Clean refrigerators, microwaves, and other guestroom items as required
- Check guestrooms for damage or maintenance issues and report problems
- Maintain housekeeping carts and cleaning supplies
Laundry
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and towels
- Sort used linens and prepare loads for washing
- Maintain an organized linen and laundry area
- Restock clean linens for housekeeping use
- Monitor linen condition and report damaged or heavily stained items
- Help ensure sufficient clean linen is available for daily hotel operations
General Housekeeping Support
- Assist with cleaning hallways, housekeeping areas, and common areas as needed
- Help stock housekeeping carts and supply areas
- Follow hotel cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Work cooperatively with the Head Housekeeper and front desk staff
- Assist other members of the housekeeping team when needed
- Perform other housekeeping-related duties based on hotel occupancy and operational needs
Qualifications
- Hotel housekeeping or laundry experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to perform both guestroom cleaning and laundry duties
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures and instructions
- Positive and professional attitude
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays depending on hotel occupancy
- Reliable transportation to Hartland, Michigan
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, carry linens, and push housekeeping or laundry carts throughout the shift
Schedule
Schedules and daily assignments will vary based on hotel occupancy and operational needs.
Some shifts may primarily involve cleaning guestrooms, while others may primarily involve laundry. Employees should be comfortable assisting in either area as needed.
Morning and daytime availability is preferred. Weekend availability is especially important.
