Job Summary
Best Western is seeking two reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Night Auditors to join our front desk team. As the Night Auditor, you will handle overnight front desk operations, assist late-arriving and early-departing guests, reconcile daily financial records, and prepare the hotel for the day ahead.
This position offers a guaranteed minimum of 24 hours per week across 3 overnight shifts, with frequent opportunities for additional hours covering other shifts or picking up extra audit days.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service & Front Desk: Greet overnight guests, process check-ins and check-outs, answer phone calls, and assist with guest inquiries or requests promptly and professionally.
- Daily Financial Audit: Reconcile daily credit card transactions, balance guest folios, run end-of-day audit reports, and audit room charges for accuracy.
- Safety & Security: Perform night walk-throughs to ensure the safety and security of the building, parking lot, and guests.
- Operational Prep: Prepare coffee/breakfast setup for morning guests, coordinate handoffs with the morning shift, and maintain a clean front lobby area.
- Problem Resolution: Handle late-night guest concerns calmly, resolving issues efficiently in line with Best Western quality standards.
Shift & Schedule Details
- Hours: 24 guaranteed hours per week minimum (3 nights, typically 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Flexibility: Opportunity to pick up additional front desk or audit shifts to gain extra hours.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous front desk or hospitality experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Basic mathematical and accounting skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computer systems, email, and basic office software (experience with Opera, SynXis, or hotel PMS is a plus).
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts.
