Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and bathroom sanitation.
- Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure health standards are met.
- Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners with manual handling safety in mind.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and outdoor work when necessary to uphold high standards of hygiene.
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Communicate professionally with clients or residents regarding their cleaning needs or special requests to enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, and sanitation procedures essential for maintaining hygiene standards.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling of cleaning supplies or furniture, and outdoor work when required.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent time management to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the day.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients or residents.
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and chemicals used in sanitation processes is advantageous.
