Laundry Attendant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered, dried, and pressed to meet the high standards of cleanliness and presentation expected in a hotel environment. This role is essential in maintaining guest satisfaction and upholding the reputation of our establishment.

Duties

• Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder hotel linens, towels, and guest garments.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items according to established procedures.
• Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for delicate fabrics or special requests.
• Inspect all items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
• Adhere to safety protocols while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
• Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel laundry environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with laundering techniques for various fabric types, including knowledge of dry cleaning processes.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shifts.
