As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, helping them with everything from starting new service to answering billing questions and resolving concerns. What You'll Do
· Answer incoming phone calls in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner
· Assist customers with starting, changing, or discontinuing waste and recycling services
· Respond to customer questions regarding billing, service schedules, containers, recycling, and waste collection
· Process customer payments accurately over the phone and in person
· Resolve customer concerns by identifying solutions and following through to completion
· Enter and maintain accurate customer account information
· Create service orders and communicate customer requests with operations personnel
· Welcome visitors and assist customers at the front counter
· Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
· Assist with opening and closing daily cash drawer procedures
· Support general office and administrative functions as needed
· Promote a positive image of Best Way Disposal during every customer interaction
What You Need
· High school diploma or GED
· Minimum of two years of customer service, administrative, receptionist, or office experience
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Professional telephone etiquette
· Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
· Ability to accurately enter and maintain customer information
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in company testing programs
Preferred
· Experience in the waste, transportation, logistics, utility, or service industry
· Experience working with multi-line phone systems
· Cash handling experience
· Experience using customer management, dispatch, or routing software
