Reach Truck Operator (1st and 2nd Shift)

Position Summary
We’re seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our New Castle, DE team. This role is critical to our warehouse operations, focusing on full pallet picking and put-away tasks using high-reach forklifts. You’ll work with electronic tablets, scanners, and handwritten logs to ensure inventory accuracy and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Reach Truck: Safely maneuver a stand-up high-reach forklift for pallet picking and storage.
• Inventory Tracking: Use tablets and scanners to log inventory movements with precision.
• Pallet Handling: Execute efficient put-away and retrieval of products within racking systems.
• Equipment Care: Perform routine checks and minor maintenance to keep equipment in top condition.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Team Support: Assist with general warehouse duties and collaborate with team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3 years operating reach trucks or similar equipment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications: 
  • Certified Forklift Operator
  • Valid reach truck operator certification
• Skills: 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with warehouse tech (tablets, scanners)
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent coordination and communication
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $18–$20/hour, based on experience
• Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage after 90 days
• Time Off: Paid holidays and PTO available after 90 days
• PPE: Steel-toe boots required; additional PPE provided by BWT Logistics

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Mon–Fri)
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Mon–Fri)
