CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT

BVTI is seeking to identify a junior Auditor to directly support our senior Auditor, supporting our contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs. The ideal candidate will serve on a team of multidisciplinary personnel providing a spectrum of audits and auditing services to VA programs nationwide.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform a range of operational/compliance audit support functions against multiple federal contractors currently supporting federal programs.
- Conduct walk-throughs and interviews that examine and test operational records and controls to obtain sufficient and reliable evidence on multiple internal control systems.
- Support all phases of the audit lifecycle to include planning, field work, and reporting/recommendations.
- Provide advice on the best operational practices that are aligned with applicable guidelines and requirements.
- Prepare audit reports and recommendations derived from the applicable work papers that identify noncompliance with regulations, inefficient operations, or improper practices, and develop constructive recommendations for improvements.
- Field work may result in a travel requirement of up to 25%.
- Consistently meet project objectives and deadlines.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to perform complex analysis and willingness to learn analytic auditing with support from our experienced team using dashboards, databases, text analytic tools, and other resources.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be capable of travel up to 25%.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, management, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
