POSTED ON 10/18/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 2/15/2027

We are seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Technician specializing in Chassis and Brake systems. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing the critical "under-car" systems that ensure vehicle safety, including braking, suspension, steering, and wheel alignment. As a B/C level tech, you should be comfortable with most mechanical repairs and ready to assist senior (A-Level) techs on complex electronic diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brake System Service: Perform full brake jobs, including pad and shoe replacement, rotor/drum resurfacing (on-car and off-car lathes), caliper replacement, and hydraulic system bleeding.
  • Suspension & Steering: Diagnose and replace shocks, struts, ball joints, control arms, tie rod ends, and power steering components.
  • Wheel Alignment: Operate precision alignment machines to adjust caster, camber, and toe to manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnostics: Identify the root cause of "noises, vibrates, and harshness" (NVH) issues, brake pulsations, and steering pulls.
  • General Maintenance: Perform multi-point safety inspections, tire rotations, mounting/balancing, and fluid flushes (brake, power steering, coolant).
  • Documentation: Accurately document all work performed and parts used on digital or paper repair orders (ROs).
  • Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean work bay and adhere to all OSHA and shop safety protocols, especially when handling hazardous materials like brake fluid and dust.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on automotive repair experience (Level C) or 3–5 years (Level B).
  • Certifications: ASE G1 (Maintenance and Light Repair) or A5 (Brakes) preferred. A valid Driver’s License is mandatory.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, steering geometry, and basic electrical systems (for ABS/ESC sensors).
  • Tools: Must possess a foundational set of hand tools and air tools (shops usually provide large equipment like lathes and alignment racks).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various temperature conditions.
