Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized according to aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Manage patient records by performing medical documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Sterilize instruments and equipment following established protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including medical coding for insurance purposes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment is essential.
- Familiarity with endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry practices is advantageous.
- Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of medical documentation processes.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is a plus.
