Painter/Fabrication

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Painter/Fabrication professional to join our team and bring vibrant visions to life across a variety of construction and renovation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to diverse surfaces, as well as performing fabrication tasks that enhance the structural and aesthetic quality of our projects. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets high standards of craftsmanship, safety, and durability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on residential, commercial, and industrial sites, utilizing your technical skills to transform spaces with precision and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Execute painting tasks using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment to achieve smooth, even finishes on walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, masonry, and fixtures.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope and specifications.
• Perform fabrication work including welding, framing, carpentry (trim carpentry and frame carpentry), masonry, concrete finishing, and drywall installation for renovation or restoration projects.
• Apply various coatings such as industrial paints or specialty finishes in accordance with safety standards and project requirements.
• Use construction estimating skills to assess material needs and ensure efficient project execution while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites and properly handling tools like hand tools, scaffolding, scaffolding equipment, and power tools.
• Collaborate with team members including carpenters, masons, plasterers, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within scope.
• Assist in fixture installation and perform maintenance or maintenance person tasks as needed during renovation or remodeling projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting or construction painting with a strong understanding of color theory.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers; power tools including drills and sanders; welding equipment; airless paint sprayers; caulking guns; masonry tools; concrete finishing tools; and basic carpentry tools.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, plastering techniques, stucco application, restoration processes, and renovation procedures.
• Familiarity with construction estimating principles for material planning and project management.
• Ability to perform construction site tasks safely while following all safety regulations.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication and painting tasks.
• Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of schematics for fixture installation or maintenance work.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
