Program Overview
Work Place Associates (WPA) is a community-based program helping working-age youth and adults with mental health or cognitive disabilities improve their quality of life through meaningful employment supports. Services include career counseling, vocational case management, benefits education, job development, and job coaching.

We are seeking an Employment Specialist to provide assessment, job development, and job coaching services for individuals in Southwest Ohio.

Position Summary
We are seeking an Employment Specialist to provide assessment, job development, and job coaching services for individuals in Southwest Ohio.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments considering interests, strengths, abilities, and barriers.
- Coordinate services with families, advocates, and support systems.
- Collaborate with professionals to integrate services with treatment and educational plans.
- Develop and implement individualized Vocational Service Plans.
- Conduct community-based work assessments.
- Provide job development, coaching, and retention services.
- Compile information for Individualized Service Plan (ISP) reports.
- Facilitate job-seeking and social skills groups.
- Serve as liaison between WPA staff, Program Manager, funding sources, and employers.
- High School Diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Social service, sales, or teaching experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF)
- Pay starting at $18/hr
