Class B Hazmat Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver with a CDL B with hazmat tanker to join our transportation team. This position is seasonal for the heating season The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including Oil Trucks delivering to house to house also on-site diesel to fill truck to truck. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills,. The Truck Driver will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Duties

• Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding commercial driving.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.
• Proven experience in truck driving with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with operating different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and refrigerated trailers is preferred.
• Ability to load and unload cargo safely using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
• Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Commitment to safety practices and regulations in all aspects of driving.
