In this role, you will prepare for patient visits by organizing charts and reviewing notes prior to arrival, provide routine support to nurses and medical staff, and perform phlebotomy procedures as needed. You will assist in tracking tests and lab reports to ensure timely results and maintain clear communication with patients regarding their care.Additionally, you will help manage medical supply inventory, set up equipment and machines for procedures, and maintain cleanliness of instruments and examination rooms. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, experience with blood draws, and an interest in working in a fast-paced medical environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare for patient visits by pulling charts, reviewing notes, and setting up medical equipmentPerform phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture and specimen collectionProperly label, process, and prepare laboratory specimens for transportTrack lab results and ensure timely follow-upClean and sterilize instruments and equipment after useAnswer phones and address patient questions, identifying visit needsAssist nurses and physicians with basic medical care and proceduresCall in prescriptions and perform general medical office dutiesMaintain inventory of medical suppliesQualificationsBLS Certification requiredCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferredPhlebotomy certification or demonstrated experience in blood draws requiredExcellent customer service and communication skillsStrong attention to detailPrevious medical office experience preferred
