Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to meet health and safety standards
- Use specialized equipment for floor care such as floor scrubbers to ensure surfaces are polished and well-maintained
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks including deep cleaning of carpets, windows, and hard-to-reach areas as needed
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly
- Support additional duties such as porter responsibilities or light custodial work in residential or commercial settings
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures
- Strong skills in floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing floors
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Familiarity with custodial supplies, chemicals, and safety standards related to facilities maintenance
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout shifts
- Basic troubleshooting skills for minor repairs or maintenance issues
