Best Life Therapy is Hiring: Mental Health Therapists (LMSW, LPC, LMFT)

Part-time (16 clients per week) or Full-Time (25 clients per week)

Several Office Locations Available:

Lapeer (800 West Street, Suite A)

At Best Life Therapy, we create jobs for clinicians that will not end up being a fast track to burnout. We believe in people over paperwork. We're a rapidly growing outpatient mental health practice focused on grief, trauma, anxiety, depression and resiliency. We provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy. Our clinicians use a person-centered affirming care approach. We’re seeking fully licensed therapists and limited licensed clinicians who want to make a real impact while working with some exceptional colleagues. We believe you should enjoy family-life balance. We need therapists with a minimum availability to see 16 clients per week. Enjoy the use of automated notetaking so you can focus on clients instead of notes. Relax on your days off and leave work at work. Therapists can do a combination of in-person and remote work. The demand for in-person sessions is great. We are primarily in search of individuals who want to come into the office to see clients in our beautiful, fully furnished office space at least 3 days a week. Some evening and weekend work is necessary to quickly build caseloads.

• Competitive pay, paid at an admin rate plus commission twice a month

• Commitment Training Bonus for full-time clinicians to go toward your EMDR training or Gottman Level 1 Certification or another approved training ($500 value for full-time employees who commit to one year with us)

What We’re Looking For: We're hiring fully licensed clinicians (PhD, PsyD, LMSW, LPC, LMFT) and LLMSWs, LLCs and LLMFTs. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical foundations and hearts aligned with our mission.

Ideal therapists will:

• Commit to having availability to schedule 18 clients per week with a goal of seeing a minimum of 16 per week. Those wanting full-time will need to commit to being available to see up to 25 clients per week.
• Work some evenings and weekends since many of our clients are available during those hours
• Have experience (or interest in training) in trauma, grief, and other evidence-based modalities
• Understand insurance documentation (or be open to learning)
• Value autonomy with connection
• Thrive in inclusive, affirming environments

Extra kudos if you bring:

• EMDR, Gottman training, grief counseling, experience with children or couples
• EMDR TRAINED CLINICIANS EARN $1,200 SIGN-ON BONUS (this is a limited time offer available for July 2026 EMDR Trained new hires)

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and ideally will be skilled in working with couples/families or be open to learning. This role involves providing therapeutic support to individuals, couples and families and utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate healing and growth.
