As our Human Resources Assistant, you’ll work closely with the HR Manager and gain hands-on exposure to everything that happens across the employee lifecycle—from recruiting and onboarding to engagement, data, and performance support. You’ll see how a modern HR function works inside a growing, private-equity-backed company and play a real part in shaping the employee experience.
We are intentionally hiring someone who wants to build a career in HR. We will invest in your training, pay for your HR certification (SHRM or PHR), and give you the opportunity to grow into an HR Generalist role over time.
You will be highly visible across the company, regularly interacting with candidates, new hires, employees, and leadership. If you enjoy working with people, being organized, and learning how great companies are built behind the scenes, this is a fantastic place to start.
What You’ll Do
Employee Experience & Lifecycle
You’ll help support employees from their first interview to their last day—and everything in between.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, engagement, development support, and offboarding
- Help ensure employees feel welcomed, informed, and supported
- Partner with the HR Manager to deliver a consistent, high-quality employee experience
Recruiting & Hiring
- Post jobs, review resumes, and coordinate interviews
- Communicate with candidates and keep them informed throughout the process
- Support offer letters and pre-employment steps
- Track recruiting data such as time-to-fill and candidate flow
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Prepare new hire paperwork, system access, and orientation materials
- Help create a smooth, professional, and welcoming first-day experience
- Coordinate offboarding, exit paperwork, and system access removal
HR Systems & Data
- Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems
- Run basic reports and assist with audits and data cleanup
- Use Excel and HR tools to organize and analyze information
Employee Support
- Serve as a first point of contact for common HR questions
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Support benefits, payroll coordination, and HR vendors as needed
Culture & Projects
- Support employee programs like open enrollment, recognition, and company initiatives
- Help manage HR projects using tools like Asana
- Assist with internal communications and engagement efforts
- Assist in coordinating on-site events and meetings
Office Management Support
- Working in Augusta, GA or Dallas, TX will also include light office management including, shipping packages, stocking supplies and refrigerator for employees in office
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in HR, recruiting, onboarding and employee support
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Comfort using Excel, HRIS systems, and task-tracking tools, like Asana
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in-office in Augusta, GA or Plano, TX on a hybrid schedule, if local to those areas
Ideal (But Not Required)
- Interest in growing into an HR Coordinator or HR Generalist role
- Curiosity about HR compliance, best practices, and people analytics
- Desire to earn SHRM or PHR certification (we’ll pay for it)
