Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Veterinary Assistant at Best Friends Veterinary Clinic located in Palm Springs, FL. The Veterinary Assistant must have at least 1 year previous experience working with the doctor and kennel staff so as to be familiar with working the exam rooms, assisting and helping the doctor with basic medical treatments, keeping the hospital clean as well as assisting with incoming phone calls. In summary basic, animal care, and overall clinic operations is a must. Other responsibilities include keeping the hospital clean and educating clients on pet health, and delivering excellent customer service. The role involves handling animals, preparing them for treatment, and supporting veterinary staff in various tasks.
Qualifications
- Skills in Animal Care and Pet Care
- Experience in Client Education and providing Customer Service
- Knowledge of Veterinary Medicine practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Previous experience in a veterinary or pet care setting is a requirement
