Veterinary Receptionist -W/ PRIOR VET EXPERIENCE

Best Friends Veterinary Care in Nesconset (near Smithtown) is seeking a FT and/or PT Receptionist with a minimum of 9 months prior RECEPTIONIST / CSR experience IN A VETERINARY PRACTICE AS A CSR to join our amazing team. We are looking for a warm, friendly, upbeat person, and a good multi-tasker who is responsible and reliable.

We are seeking someone who understands great customer service and truly enjoys people and pets.

If you have worked specifically as a CSR / Receptionist in a Veterinary Office in the last 5 years, FANTASTIC -->please read on. We cannot wait to learn more about you!

However, if you have extensive CSR experience in other types of medical practices and you love animals - that's great - BUT - the very busy nature of our veterinary practice means we seek to hire a person who already has the extensive knowledge base needed for the role. The position:

Typical duties will involve answering phones, greeting clients, check in/out, client billing, computer transactions (paperless practice w/ Avimark software), and scheduling appointments. Please note ALL staff answer phones - not just the front desk personnel.

Computer proficiency is absolutely essential for this role.

About us: Best Friends Veterinary Care (BFVC) in Nesconset is a 5 Doctor practice, but just 3 doctors work each day. We are flexible and understanding of our staff’s real life issues and needs. We flex shifts as needed for the right person. Need to be home until the bus leaves for school? - no problem. We make things like that work!

Also, we are medical ONLY - no boarding and no grooming.

Please note that as with many vet practices, Saturdays (just until 1) and some evenings until 7 pm are a must for this position. We are closed on Sundays. Also, the ability to lift and carry pet foods up to 20-30 lbs. is essential for this position.
