Volunteer Details
By volunteering at the National Conference, you'll play a vital role in supporting Best Friends Animal Society's mission to end the killing of dogs and cats in America's shelters. This event will give animal welfare advocates the tools they need to go back to their communities and save more lives.
A vegan lunch is provided for those who volunteer full-day shifts. All other meals, transportation and lodging expenses are up to you. Throughout the event, you’re welcome to engage with fellow volunteers and attendees, share thoughts and stories, and compare adorable pet photos, of course.

Volunteer Details
- Dates May 6 - 9, 2026
- Location Salt Palace Convention Center, Salt Lake City, UT
- Requirements Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
- Roles Various roles available starting with setup on Wednesday, May 6 and ending with teardown on Saturday, May 9, all focused on event assistance (no animal handling involved). For more info about some of the available volunteer opportunities https //bit.ly/2026BFNCVolOpps
- Shifts Typically 4 hours long, with group accommodations available.
