We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and results-driven Job Developer to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The Job Developer is responsible for building relationships with employers, identifying job opportunities, matching qualified candidates to open positions, and supporting employment outcomes for participants receiving vocational rehabilitation services.
This role combines business development, networking, workforce development, and community engagement. The ideal candidate enjoys meeting new people, developing partnerships, and helping individuals succeed in the workforce.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with local employers and hiring managers.
- Conduct in-person visits to businesses throughout the community.
- Identify job openings and employment opportunities for program participants.
- Market and promote participant skills to prospective employers.
- Match candidates with appropriate employment opportunities.
- Coordinate interviews between employers and participants.
- Assist participants with job search activities and employment preparation.
- Attend networking events, job fairs, chamber meetings, and community outreach events.
- Maintain employer contact databases and job lead tracking systems.
- Conduct labor market research and identify hiring trends.
- Prepare reports and documentation required by funding sources and agency leadership.
- Follow up with employers to ensure successful placements and long-term partnerships.
- Meet established placement and employer outreach goals.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant experience in sales, business development, workforce development, recruiting, staffing, marketing, or vocational rehabilitation may substitute for education requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to confidently present services to employers and business leaders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and database systems.
Sales and Business Development Skills
