In a job-shop environment, our clients require us to deliver quality parts on time from all of our metal finishing operations. We are looking for a Sr. Maintenance Technician. As a Sr. Maintenance Technician, you will be in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment.
*This position is sometimes between our 2 facilities in Bristol and Rumford, RI
* Monday-Friday 5 a.m. start time
Responsibilities:
- Solving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing issues on various production and facility equipment
- Equipment preventative maintenance
- Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
- Assembling, disassembling, and installing (if applicable) new machines, equipment, sensors, etc.
- Performing a variety of routine maintenance around the building.
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems.
- Communicating updates as well as potential issues with management.
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- All other duties, as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Must be a self starter with ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance and the calibration of tools.
- Troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aptitude required
- Physical ability as this job often requires you to work in different positions including bending, crawling, stopping, carrying heavy objects, spending time on your feet, repeatedly climbing up and down stairs, etc.
- The ability to problem solve and have patience because often there are times that the solution to a problem is not readily apparent.
- The ability to work with a diverse culture to improve processes and quality while improving upon the safety of the workforce.
- The ability to exemplify and embrace our culture of quality, customer service, safety, and team.
