Position Overview
We are a dynamic and fast-growing catering company known for delivering exceptional culinary experiences across corporate events, weddings, private functions, and large-scale productions. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency for both on-site and off-site events.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes and standards
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely and organized manner for events and service
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with food prep, portioning, and plating for catered events
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event teams to ensure smooth service
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or needs
- Assist with loading/unloading food, equipment, and supplies for off-site events
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of previous experience as a line cook (event or banquet experience preferred)
- Valid driver’s license & car required
- 18 required
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Travel & Event Requirements
- Assist with transporting food, equipment, and supplies to event locations
- Participate in on-site setup, execution, and breakdown of catering services
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including outdoor venues and temporary kitchens
- Flexibility to travel locally and occasionally outside the immediate area
- Must be comfortable working extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules
