What You’ll Do
As a Line Cook at The River, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include:
- Food Preparation: Chop, slice, and prep ingredients, sauces, and dressings with precision, following standardized recipes.
- Station Operation: Cook menu items using grills, fryers, and sauté stations while maintaining quality and meeting time standards.
- Sanitation & Safety: Keep your work area spotless, label and store food properly, and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, restock items during service, and notify the kitchen lead of any shortages.
- Team Communication: Work closely with the kitchen lead and expediter to ensure smooth ticket flow, especially during busy periods.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following skills and qualifications:
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knife skills and the ability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment.
- Culinary Knowledge: Familiarity with cooking methods such as grilling, sautéing, and frying.
- Attention to Detail: Understanding of food safety practices, portion control, and maintaining consistency.
- Work Ethic: Ability to stay organized and work efficiently under pressure.
- Team Player: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
