Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Part-Time Care Partner working overnight shifts from 10pm to 6am! Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies
- Operate manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accurately
- Respond promptly to resident calls or needs, providing comfort and reassurance during overnight hours
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Follow safety procedures for patient lifting, medication administration, and emergency response protocols like first aid and CPR
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, and memory care techniques
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high-quality resident care
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for resident support
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication management, and basic first aid/CPR certification
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous
- Knowledge of safe patient lifting practices and home & community care standards
