What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installation Manager (HVAC and Plumbing) position at Best Care Home Services?
Job Summary
To manage the installation operations of Best Care, to include the scheduling and dispatching
of installation crews, ordering and purchasing equipment and materials, inventory stocking
program, and general oversight of all warehouse functions. Oversee the training (immediate and ongoing)
and efficiency of Best Care’s service technicians and installers. Implementation and enforcement of Best
Care’s purchasing policy. The overall supervision of Best Care’s service and installation crews and the
profitability of all jobs. Hold weekly meetings with each department along with monthly evaluations of
the ongoing progress of each position in the departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
Update job schedule and layout for next five days.
Review jobs with installer as necessary.
Check the previous day’s job. Find out any punch list or uncompleted items.
Check at least one installer’s tools and van per week.
Ensure installers and service technicians depart by 8:00 am.
Schedule layouts and update layout & design schedules.
Turn in all files for billing from the previous day.
Be available by telephone for installer questions. Know the whereabouts and progress of crews during the day.
Be available for installations/service appointments should installers/technicians call out sick, fulfilling
our promise to the customer.
Return customer calls.
Ensure all jobs for the next day have been pulled and staged in the warehouse loading area.
