Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients’ health status, noting any changes or concerns for appropriate action
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support patients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia through memory care techniques and engagement activities
- Operate equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers and prevent injury
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
Requirements
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications like HIPAA training are a plus
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia enhances your ability to provide specialized care
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in patient transfer and mobility support
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition accurately
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and adherence to care plans
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members
