As the Senior Manager of Enterprise Planning, you’ll serve as the connection point between strategy and execution including operating a centralized intake and vetting process to ensure clear requirements, proper routing, and prioritization of enterprise work. You’ll enable informed trade-offs, resource optimization, and faster execution through strong portfolio visibility, clear demand framing, and cross‑functional alignment. This role will act as a trusted partner across business, product, engineering, and finance to make connections across functions, align on progress, and unblock execution.
This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you’ll do
- Manage multiple portfolios within the enterprise, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and initiatives are tracked for impact and progress.
- Lead others through change as processes are created to increase focus, prioritization and flexibility.
- Maintain an enterprise view of the portfolio for your area, including scope, timing, owners, dependencies, and investment/resource needs.
- Drive enterprise portfolio governance by ensuring value cases are well framed and comparable to support investment recommendations.
- Lead prioritization, sequencing, and trade-off conversations so the right work is resourced and aligned to enterprise strategy, financial goals, and capacity constraints.
- Deliver prioritized initiatives by partnering with leaders and business owners
Basic qualifications
5 years of experience leading large-scale projects with significant impact
2 years of experience leading teams through strategic planning processes
2 years of experience in leadership, including mentoring, coaching and problem solving
Ability to think critically, influence and engage with various levels of stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications
3 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports and people management responsibilities
Change management skills or certification
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple initiatives at the same time
