Role Description The Preschool and After-School Care Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Redmond, WA. This role involves planning and leading age-appropriate educational activities, supporting early literacy and numeracy, and facilitating social and emotional development for preschool and elementary-aged children. The teacher will supervise children in classroom and play settings, maintain a safe and organized environment, and follow center policies and daily schedules. Responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, assisting with homework support during after-school hours, monitoring student progress, and communicating with families and center leadership about student needs and achievements. The teacher will also help with arrival and dismissal procedures, collaborate with colleagues to enhance program quality, and participate in regular staff meetings and training.
Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children in classroom, childcare, or enrichment settings.
• Ability to plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities that support academic and social development.
• Strong classroom management skills, including maintaining a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with children, families, and team members in a professional and supportive manner.
• Reliability in following schedules, supervising children, and adhering to safety and center policies.
• Comfort with providing homework help, basic academic support, and positive behavior guidance during after-school hours.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field preferred.
• Ability to stand, move, and actively engage with children throughout the day; capable of lifting light materials and classroom supplies.
• Willingness to complete any required background checks, training, and certifications related to childcare and safety.
