Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines to execute repairs and maintenance tasks effectively.
- Service vehicles by replacing parts, performing oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance procedures.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex problems related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), vehicle electrical systems, and auto estimating processes.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met; perform wheel alignments and suspension adjustments as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and communicate findings clearly with customers to enhance their understanding of repairs needed.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or service technician background with a strong understanding of automotive repair procedures.
- Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS technology, transmissions, powertrain components, and diesel engine repair.
- Skilled in reading schematics and using diagnostic software for accurate troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machinery.
- Demonstrated ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills paired with auto estimating experience to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and costs.
