We are a forward-focused design practice seeking a highly creative Senior Interior Designer to join our Washington, DC studio. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives on storytelling through design—someone who can take bold, themed concepts and translate them into immersive, fully realized environments.

Role and Responsibilities
• Lead and contribute to immersive, themed design concepts from ideation through construction.
• Develop strong design narratives and translate them into compelling visual and spatial experiences.
• Create high-quality 3D renderings and presentations that bring concepts to life.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants, artists, and fabricators to execute custom design solutions.
• Design and specify custom furniture, finishes, and experiential elements aligned with project storytelling.
• Direct art curation and coordinate bespoke installations.
• Produce detailed construction documents and technical drawings to support implementation.
• Partner closely with leadership to refine concepts and ensure design intent is realized in built form.
• Coordinate across disciplines to deliver cohesive, high-impact environments.
Experience and Qualifications
• 8–12 years of experience in highly creative, concept-driven environments (themed design, hospitality, entertainment, or commercial projects).
• Strong background in storytelling, concept ideation, and translating narrative into physical space.
• Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); Rhino a plus.
• Exceptional 3D visualization and rendering skills.
• Experience with custom fabrication, FF&E, and material storytelling.
• Strong understanding of space planning, codes, and consultant coordination.
• Ability to clearly communicate design ideas through diagrams, presentations, and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field required.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with design-build or large-scale, highly experiential projects preferred.
• LEED or WELL accreditation preferred.
• Progress toward NCIDQ certification or architectural licensure preferred.
