Award-winning firm in NYC is seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join their Interiors team. This role requires a technically proficient professional who can bridge the gap between conceptual design and technical execution. The successful candidate will be adept at creating detailed construction documentation, mentoring team members, and ensuring that design intent is carried through to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of thorough and well-organized construction document sets with a focus on precision and clarity.
- Coordinate effectively with internal project teams using Revit.
- Apply expertise in areas such as waterproofing, structural systems, curtain walls, and storefront design.
- Specify and detail interior finishes, maintaining fidelity to the original design vision.
- Evaluate the feasibility of design concepts with respect to cost, materials, and constructability.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with MEP/FA consultants.
- Support and guide design teams with technical expertise throughout all project phases.
- Maintain a strong focus on design quality and technical precision.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in architectural detailing and construction documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of building technologies, systems, and coordination practices.
- Proven ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to the execution of high-quality architectural work.
- Experience working on large-scale projects is a big plus.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
