A&D Sales Representative | Commercial Furniture

We are considering applications from professionals who have experience in commercial furniture & architectural products.

The nature of this role also suits somebody who is comfortable with, and preferably can demonstrate experience with, long sales cycles.

Our client is a leading commercial furniture dealer and they are looking for an A&D Outside Sales Representative to build relationships with Austin's architecture and interior design community and introduce them to their commercial furniture and architectural solutions.

You do not need to have spent your entire career in sales because this is an opportunity for someone who understands the commercial workplace environment. You might already be selling commercial furniture or architectural products, or you could be an experienced interior designer ready to make the move into sales.

We're interested in people who understand how commercial projects work, enjoy building relationships and have the personality and ambition to develop a market. Your role will be to become a trusted resource for architects and designers — helping them find the right solutions for their projects, getting involved early in the process and ultimately helping our products become specified.

Responsibilities:

• Build and develop relationships with architecture and interior design firms throughout Austin
• Identify upcoming commercial workplace projects and opportunities
• Introduce clients to our commercial furniture and architectural product offering
• Work with our internal design and sales teams to develop proposals and project solutions
• Represent the company at AIA, IIDA and other industry events and networking opportunities
• Maintain an active pipeline and keep CRM information up to date
• Develop a strong understanding of our manufacturers, products, finishes and applications

Who you are:

Sales experience is preferred, but you might be an interior designer who wants to move into sales.

• A 'people person'.
• Experience working within commercial architecture, interior design, workplace or furniture
• An understanding of how commercial projects move from design through specification and installation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• The motivation to get out into the market and develop relationships rather than relying on inbound opportunities
• A willingness to learn the products, manufacturers and processes required to become a credible resource to your clients
