Our client, a growing boutique cabin accommodation business known to us from previous successful household placements, is seeking an experienced and self-sufficient Operations & Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of their high-end short-stay properties.
This is an autonomous, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, structure and practical oversight. The successful candidate will take ownership of operational standards, housekeeping coordination and guest experience, allowing the principals to focus on expanding the business.
The position is primarily based in Edinburgh, with periodic travel to properties on the West Coast of Scotland and future sites as they come online.
Key Responsibilities
Property & Housekeeping Oversight
Manage changeover schedules across properties
Coordinate and oversee freelance cleaners
Monitor standards and ensure consistency
Conduct regular property inspections
Implement and refine maintenance checklists
Liaise with contractors where required
Ensure properties are consistently guest-ready
Guest Experience & Communication
Manage guest communication (email and WhatsApp concierge)
Respond to pre-arrival and in-stay enquiries
Oversee check-in/check-out processes
Resolve issues independently and calmly
Operational Management
Take full ownership of day-to-day operations
Anticipate needs and prevent problems before they arise
Support the launch and oversight of additional cabin locations as the business expands (e.g. future Highland properties)
Contribute to improving systems as the portfolio grows
Start ASAP or when the right person is found
Requirements
We are seeking someone practical, organised and confident working independently.

Boutique hotel or serviced accommodation operations
Property or facilities management
Private household or estate management
Chalet, yacht or similar hospitality environments
