Dishwasher / Food Prep Team Member Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher / Food Prep Team Member to join our kitchen staff. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen while assisting with basic food preparation to support daily operations. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, follows sanitation standards, and has a positive team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans promptly and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish area, kitchen, storage areas, and equipment
- Remove trash and assist with kitchen closing duties
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks including:
- Cutting and prepping vegetables
- Portioning ingredients
- Preparing sauces, salads, and simple menu items
- Stocking and rotating inventory
- Keep prep stations fully stocked and clean during shifts
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Support cooks and kitchen staff as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Team player with good communication skills
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and follow kitchen procedures
Schedule
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Weekend and evening availability preferred
