What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Employment Consideration - HVAC position at BESCO?
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform repairs after diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on HVAC equipment.
Perform new equipment start-ups and logging data on start-up documentation.
Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Knowledge on use of HVAC/Refrigeration tools such as vacuum pumps, gauges, and reclaim units.
Coordinate proper tools and PPE to perform assigned job tasks.
Preventative maintenance on existing customer equipment, replacement, and modifications as requested by customers.
Provide customers with proper documentation and technical support, when required.
Works with service dispatch for scheduling service/installation assignments.
Maintain necessary materials and service manuals on assigned service vehicle.
Perform on call rotation.
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
Valid drivers license required.
EPA Approved Certification
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to use hand tools and operate electric and/or battery powered tools.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. at times.
Must be able to ascend and descend step ladders and work from elevated scissor lifts and scaffolding.
Qualifications for Success:
3-5 years of HVAC service experience and successful completion of apprenticeship.
Adept at multi-tasking in fast paced environment, able to plan, prioritize, and organize individual and group activities and processes
Able to work independently and across multiple teams and levels within and outside of the organization and take initiative on projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
