Parking Operations Technician

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Parking Operations Technician to support the daily operations of WMATA’s bicycle and parking facilities throughout the DC–Maryland–Virginia metro region. This is a temporary full-time position requiring on-site presence at various WMATA facilities. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to manage routine reporting and operational tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain an accurate physical inventory of all bicycles and parking facilities.
• Monitor daily operations at parking and bicycle facilities to ensure smooth operations.
• Answer customer calls at the Parking Operations Control Center, providing quality service and support.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, transactions, and facility-related information.
• Prepare routine reports on pedestrian and bicycle access programs on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual, or other schedules.
• Support equipment inspections and assist in improving facility services.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level position; minimum of one (1) year of experience in bicycle and/or parking operations preferred.
• Ability to work onsite across the DMV region as needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
