Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Labor Relations Officer to provide temporary, full-time onsite support throughout the DC–Maryland–Virginia (DMV) metro region at WMATA-designated facilities. This role will support labor relations activities, including contract interpretation, grievance handling, and workplace dispute resolution, while advising management on labor agreement provisions and ensuring consistent application of policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, interpret, and explain provisions of labor agreements.
- Coordinate actions with Authority officials and provide technical assistance, recommendations, and guidance on labor and management issues.
- Support labor relations activities, including grievance handling and dispute resolution.
- Prepare complex reports, correspondence, and other documentation within critical deadlines.
- Ensure consistent and uniform application of policies and contract provisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Labor or Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in contract administration, grievance handling, and workplace dispute resolution within a complex organization.
Requirements:
- Must be available to work onsite Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Must be able to work throughout the DC–Maryland–Virginia metro region at WMATA-designated facilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $40.00 - $52.00 per hour
