Berwick Academy, a PK–12 coeducational day school in Southern Maine, seeks a Lead Grade Three Homeroom Teacher to collaborate with Lower School colleagues in implementing a strong and engaging third grade program. Berwick’s Lower School approach blends social-emotional learning, project-based experiences, outdoor classroom initiatives, and homeroom/special subject instruction, with the ultimate goal of developing a respectful and responsible community grounded in exploration, joy, and discovery.
Qualified candidates will have experience working in an elementary school setting, demonstrated success fostering positive relationships with students and families, strengths in reading, writing, math and project-based instruction, as well as a strong interest in collaborating with colleagues. Excellent communication and writing skills are essential. This position includes several summer planning commitments and will become a full-time role for the 2026–27 academic year.
