What are the responsibilities and job description for the Faculty: Middle School Visual Arts Teacher position at Berwick Academy?
Berwick Academy, a PK-12 coeducational day school located in Southern Maine seeks a Middle School Art Teacher. Ideal candidates would have experience teaching Middle School students as well as the flexibility to work with students ranging in age from 10 to 14. A qualified candidate will show strong evidence of exceptional teaching and a keen understanding of the developmental needs of a range of students. Berwick seeks candidates with a degree in fine arts or in art education.
A collaborative teaching approach and instructional leadership skills among peers are also hallmarks of a successful candidate. Candidates can expect to teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade classes in our Middle School, as well as helping with advising, and co-curricular activities. This position begins in the 2026-27 academic year.
