Job Summary:
The Store Manager for a mid-size store is responsible for balancing hands-on management with delegation, ensuring operational efficiency and revenue growth.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly oversee a mid-size team, ensuring effective workflow and productivity.
- Balance hands-on management with delegation for streamlined store operations.
- Conduct employee hiring, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
- Address customer concerns and implement resolutions to enhance service quality.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage mid-size store operations, ensuring financial and operational efficiency.
- Supervise sales, inventory, and staff to maximize profitability and performance.
- Develop and execute localized sales strategies to drive customer satisfaction and boost sales, rentals, and lesson program growth.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring high service standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and financial transaction accuracy.
- Work closely with instrument repair and lesson departments for enhanced service offerings.
- Clearly communicate store goals, priorities, and procedures to staff.
- Ensure completion of all operational tasks as per company procedures.
- Implement and uphold company policies and procedures as outlined by the Director of Retail.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of musical instruments and supplies is essential.
- Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in retail management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- 2 years of retail management experience preferred but not required
- Basic Knowledge of the Musical Instrument Industry
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
