Duties
- Develop well-researched articles, blog posts, product descriptions, and other written content aligned with the Berthoud Community and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure factual accuracy and depth of information
- Edit and proofread drafts meticulously to meet high standards of clarity, grammar, style, and consistency using AP style or Chicago Manual of Style as required
- Fact-check all data points and references to uphold credibility and journalistic integrity
- Collaborate with clients or editors to refine content based on feedback and project goals
- Utilize word processing tools efficiently to produce polished documents within deadlines
- Write proposals or pitches for new projects or content ideas when necessary
- Wednesday writers at meetings at 10 a.m. must be attended, whether virtually, or in-person.
Skills
- Exceptional writing skills with versatility across creative writing, technical writing, journalism, and copywriting
- Strong proofreading, copy editing, and editing abilities to enhance clarity and flow of content
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members
