Purpose
Office Manager - Pastoral Assistant /Communications is the face and the heart of the church. As an integral part of the Pastoral Team, the successful candidate for this postion will be an organized, positive minded, self starter with a heart for Christian ministry and a demonstrated ability to produce internal and external communications.
Qualifications
- Experience in printed communications, websites and social media.
- Must be proficient in computer operation, including Windows, Outlook, Google Calendar and Microsoft Office (Publisher, Power Point, Word and Excel) Have the ability to learn new software as needed.
- Experience in office management
Responsibilities
- Edit and publish weekly bulletins, weekly email “blasts” and monthly newsletter
- Create the weekly worship slide show
- Manage church website and keep social media current
- Manage schedules for meetings, facility and worship assistants, maintain electronic building use for calendar
- Greet and help church visitors, take phone calls, and email.
- Provide clerical support for the pastors
- Assist with clerical support for special services, annual reports, conference reports and other special projects as needed
- Maintain church records
- Manage and maintain copier, printer and phone messaging system
- Order office and janitorial supplies, as needed
Hours
This is a part time position, Tuesday to Friday 9 AM to 1 PM and 100% in the office
Salary : $18 - $19
