The Events Specialist oversees event strategy and management. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with a passion for sales and customer service. The specialist must understand how to increase goals, drive results, and work multiple events simultaneously. From large conferences to small client events, this role also will oversee virtual, onsite, and hybrid events.
- Executing the strategy and action items of 40 annual events
- Working with internal teams to identify the overall messaging and branding for each event
- Coordinating show deliverables, sponsorships, and contracts in a transparent and efficient manner both internally and externally
- Building and maintaining relationships with event organizers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Capturing and reporting budget spend
- Helping to grow the events program to be ROI and thought leadership focused, with an eye for brand awareness
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or another related field
- 2 years of events experience
- Ability to set marketing goals and conduct market analysis
- Ability to develop and manage comprehensive event logistics plans and optimize budgets and resources to achieve event objectives.
- Experience using marketing enablement tools to complete routine tasks independently.
- The ability to approach a wide range of situations and prioritize actions
- Certified Meeting Planner (CMP)
- Project Manager Certification (PMP)
- Certified Trade Show Manager (CTSM)
- Experience working in software, healthcare, education, or technology
- Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Jira, and/or virtual event production software.
- Experience managing a budget of more than $300k

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:
Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30/40 days/quarter.
