We’re looking for a Flat Cutter Operator Trainee to join our team! In this role, you’ll learn to assist with flat cutter operations, prepare materials, and support bindery production while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Learn to set up and operate flat cutter equipment through on-the-job training.
• Prepare jobs for cutting, input sheet data, and ensure accurate layout.
• Load and trim paper stacks, then stack finished products onto pallets.
• Maintain accurate production counts, skid tickets, and daily reports.
• Assist with routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and knife or stick changes.
Preferred Requirements:
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn flat cutter operations.
• Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals, with the ability to use rulers and measurement tools.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work well with trainers and supervisors.
• Prior bindery or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Work Schedule:
• 2x2x3 - 7:30am to 7:30pm
