Key Responsibilities
Shipping and Receiving Operations
· Manage daily shipping and receiving functions, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and load planning.
· Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate, properly documented, and meet company and customer specifications.
· Oversee inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels.
· Coordinate freight logistics with carriers and vendors, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
· Maintain and track shipping and receiving metrics (e.g., on-time performance, damage rates, accuracy).
Leadership and Team Management
· Supervise, train, and evaluate shipping and receiving staff.
· Develop team schedules and assign tasks to meet operational goals.
· Foster a safe, organized, and positive work environment.
· Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for employee development.
Compliance and Safety
· Ensure all activities comply with OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations.
· Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety policies.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· 3–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse management.
· Supervisory or team leadership experience required.
Skills & Competencies:
· Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
· Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Knowledge of inventory control methods and freight logistics.
· Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
