What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Representative position at Berry Tractor?
Berry Tractor & Equipment - is a full service heavy equipment dealership. Our equipment includes: Komatsu®, and BOMAG, to name a few. Berry Tractor maintains a large rental fleet and provides repair and maintenance services on-site or in our well-equipped shop.
Berry Tractor offers new, used and rental equipment. We provide service support with our extensive parts inventory, which includes rebuilt and used parts, highly trained service personnel and on-site maintenance to eliminate travel and minimize downtime. We offer Preventative Maintenance contracts for all makes and models of equipment.
Responsibilities

Develop relationships, build confidence and call on assigned customers regularly to win their business.

Visit construction sites, offices, and individual owner/operator sites within your assigned territory.

Promote Komatsu products; demonstrate rentals and grow sales and market presence.

Create a personalized customer service relationship with new and existing customers.

Maintain familiarity with new products developed by suppliers.

Make presentations, educate decision makers on the benefits of using our equipment and emphasize the advantages of working with Berry Tractor.

Provide solutions for customers and provide technical sales assistance as needed.

Continually grow your knowledge base on existing and new products (machinery).

Keep management informed of significant developments in the territory, including lost sales.

Attend all sales meetings, training and trade shows as required.

Use company-approved technology and programs to maintain database of customers and customer calling schedule.

Follow company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
-
Familiar with and ability to operate construction equipment.

3-5 years selling construction or agricultural equipment.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Organizational ability to schedule, follow-up and meet deadlines.

Typing and use of computer for quotation generation.

Excellent interpersonal and written communication.

Active listening required.
