Responsibilities
- Responsible for effective replacement of forklift wheels/tires in the field
- Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned
- Pre-order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs
- Effect the repairs in a safe and effective manner
- Ensure all repairs complete as assigned and the cosmetic appearance are up to standards
- Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition
- Maintain shop tools, equipment and vehicles
- Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition. Wear all personal protective equipment, as required; and urges others to do so.
- Strong potential to develop good mechanical skills, good communication skills, and safe work habits
- Be able to work independent of direct supervision in a field environment
- Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians
- A technical school or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred, but not required
- Valid driver's license; clean MVR
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment and facilitate repairs.
- Continuously lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl.
